Where History Meets the Sky: The Unique Atmosphere of Cappadocia

Cappadocia is not merely a destination; it is a living museum where nature and history have coexisted for millennia. Hosting AIRS2026 in this UNESCO World Heritage site offers participants a surreal atmosphere, surrounded by the iconic "fairy chimneys" and ancient rock-carved sanctuaries. This unique geological setting provides a serene yet inspiring backdrop for scientific exchange, allowing researchers to discuss the future of aviation while standing in the cradle of civilization.

Beyond its historical allure, Cappadocia is globally recognized as a premier hub for lighter-than-air aviation. As one of the world's most active hot air balloon centers, the region offers a daily spectacle of aerodynamics in action. Attendees will have the rare opportunity to witness hundreds of balloons ascending at sunrise—a breathtaking visual metaphor for the symposium’s goal of rising to new heights in aviation innovation and research.

    Elevate Your Research: Publication Pathways

A core mission of AIRS 2026 is to disseminate high-quality scientific findings to the broader community effectively. We are proud to announce our strong scientific partnership with the Journal of Aviation Research (JAR). To ensure the highest academic standards, all submissions to the symposium will undergo a rigorous double-blind peer-review process managed by our expert scientific committees.

Accepted papers will initially be published in the official Symposium Proceedings Book with an ISBN. Furthermore, select high-impact papers, chosen by the editorial board based on their originality and significant contribution to the field, will be invited for publication in a dedicated special issue of the Journal of Aviation Research, offering substantial visibility and citation potential for authors.
